Mountain biking is an incredibly enjoyable sport and can be for the entire family and as long as a child is old enough to ride a bike, they will be able to go mountain biking. The difficulty of the mountain will have to be taken into consideration, depending on the age of the child.

Going on a mountain biking vacation can be a great choice, but there are a few things a person should do to be prepared for a mountain biking vacation. It is important to figure out where you want to go on the vacation and what you will have to purchase for the trip.

Choosing the Location

The location is very important and given a lot of thought. There are some fabulous places to go mountain biking around the world, including British Columbia, New Jersey, Aspen and Santa Fe.

When choosing a location for a mountain biking vacation, it is important to consider who is going on the trip. If there are younger children going then it maybe best to stay in a hotel or other appropriate lodging, but if it is a holiday for adults only, then camping or any type of accommodation could work. Many people prefer to rough it when they go on a trip like this and enjoy staying out in the wilderness as they mountain bike around the area.

Equipment

There are a few important pieces of equipment that should be taken on a mountain biking vacation. The mountain bike is going to be the most important purchase, if you don’t already have one and remember that the frame is the heart and soul of the bicycle, so this is going to be the most important feature to check out. Cost comparison is also an issue and keep in mind that the cost of a mountain bike is dependent upon two things, weight and durability. The lighter the bike is, the more it is going to cost because the frame and other components have been lightened. A full face quality helmet and knee guards are essential.

A mountain biking vacation can be a fantastic idea, but it is important to make sure that you are completely prepared before heading off on your adventure.

Mountain biking is rapidly becoming a popular sport for many health conscious people. It gives them a chance to stay in shape, while enjoying the sport of biking and enjoying nature. The International Mountain Biking Association was formed to help people preserve biking trails across the world. In the beginning it was only a small organization with less than one thousand members. Today the trend has caught on to other countries such as Canada, Europe, Australia and Switzerland. The association represents itself as being a leader in the trail riding sport.

International mountain biking can be combined in with other activities while you are enjoying your international vacation. Many areas offer day trips or half day trips which are ideal to work into your itinerary. You can get up in the morning, enjoy a light breakfast and then go exploring on the trails until lunch. This is a great way to start your day and it allows you to have some time after lunch to relax and get ready for an exciting evening. International mountain biking can be much different than biking in the United States. Many of the mountain ranges have more graduated slopes which allow you take your time and enjoy the scenery without putting a lot of stress on your body.

Enjoying Asia On A Mountain Bike

Asia offers many different ethnic groups and quaint little mountain villages. Asia is a great place to enjoy international mountain biking because of the contrasts in terrain. You can visit one of the mountain villages and enjoy the local culture while taking a rest from your trip.

There is an international cyclists club in Hong Kong which offers biking tours to China, Vietnam, New Zealand, Mongolia, Tibet and Malaysia. They lead several tours each month and are well acquainted with the trails and the terrain. They also know the hot spots for scenery and shopping along the way. They understand the diversity among the Asian people and most of their guides speak more than one language. This can be a big help to a foreigner who does not understand, or speak, the language.

International mountain biking can be a fun and rewarding experience. You can choose your trip based on the amount of time you want to spend riding. Tours are available from one day, up to fourteen days. You can also choose the terrain you wish to ride, based on your rider skills and experience. International mountain biking is more relaxed and can be taken at a slower pace. Many places you can visit on a bike would not be possible if you are in a car. This gives you a chance to enjoy the local culture and get some great snapshots which would not otherwise be possible.
